Synopsis
Daisy Meredith is the new girl attending Grangewood School for Girls. She is the first girl to be accepted under a scholarship and there is some contention as to whether girls of ‘her type’ are quite the thing for Grangewood. At least that’s what school snob Sybil Burlington believes and she will do everything in her power to see that Daisy gets kicked out of school. Meanwhile there is hockey to be played, mysteries uncovered, creamy buns for all and what is this ‘hairy star’ that keeps being bandied about? Sure to be jolly good fun for all!
Set in an English Boarding School for Girls in the 1920’s, this light hearted, tongue-in-cheek comedy engagingly captures the innocence of Angela Brazil’s schoolgirl novels.
